Bandai Namco made waves last night with their Little Nightmares 3 announcement, confirming an October 10 release date. For those feeling the wait is too long, here's exciting news: digital pre-orders include immediate access to Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition throughout the pre-launch period.
The franchise expands beyond gaming with a new season of the acclaimed podcast The Sounds of Nightmares arriving soon. October also brings a comic series - Little Nightmares: Descent to Nowhere - while September welcomes the young adult novel Little Nightmares: The Lonely Ones.
The Titan Comics publication, Little Nightmares: Descent to Nowhere, presents dual narratives following Hush, a mute girl trapped in a cell who allies with fellow prisoner Mono to escape their grim dungeon prison.
E.C. Myers' Scholastic-published novel The Lonely Ones introduces Ruse, a child waking in a mysterious moving room alongside two unsettling companions - a girl with a frayed noose and a masked, emaciated boy.
In a surprise reveal, Bandai Namco previewed a stop-motion collaboration with Taller del Chucho studio, promising more details to come about this intriguing side project.
Developed by Supermassive Games, Little Nightmares 3 launches on PC, PS5, Switch 2, Xbox Series X/S, and last-gen consoles (Switch version pre-orders coming soon). Here's what each edition offers:
All Little Nightmares 3 Editions
- Standard Edition - Base game
- Digital Deluxe - Adds the Secrets of The Spiral Expansion Pass and Residents Costumes
- Collector Mirror Edition - Includes deluxe content plus figurine, metal case, artbook, OST (digital/physical), and stickers
- Premium Collector Spiral Edition (Bandai Namco Store exclusive) - Upgraded figurine with music box base, Nome controller stand, and dual-sided coin

All pre-orders include the Dark Six Costumes and early access to Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition. The Expansion Pass features at least two additional story chapters.
Completing the announcements, Iconik Studios revealed Little Nightmares VR: Altered Echoes, bringing the franchise into virtual reality for the first time.
Our review of Little Nightmares 2 scored it 7/10, praising its "eerily beautiful" atmosphere while noting missed cooperative gameplay opportunities.
