"Neverness to Everness Advances with Containment Test"

By AudreyMay 17,2025

Hotta Studio’s eagerly anticipated game, Neverness to Everness, has reached an exciting new phase with the launch of sign-ups for the Containment Test, a closed beta exclusively for PC users. This test offers early access to the urban open-world action RPG, featuring a mix of chaos, exploration, and unique Esper-driven abilities.

Set in the expansive city of Hethereau, Neverness to Everness introduces players to a world where supernatural anomalies coexist with high-speed chases and the freedom of lifestyle choices. The game's trailers showcase a quirky atmosphere, highlighted by self-aware, graffiti-tagged skateboards, otters with television heads, and a palpable sense of midnight unease.

In this beta, you'll delve into Hethereau using Esper Abilities to tackle mysterious anomalies while balancing the everyday and the surreal. The Containment Test provides an initial glimpse into the innovative systems that differentiate Neverness to Everness from other titles in its genre.

A standout feature is the integration of urban driving as a core mechanic, complete with customizable vehicles and realistic, destructible crash dynamics. Additionally, the game expands beyond combat with lifestyle elements such as home ownership and interior design, allowing players to immerse themselves in city life or indulge in decorating between missions.

Currently, the Containment Test supports voice-overs in English, Japanese, and Chinese, with more text language options available. While this beta is PC-exclusive, the full release of Neverness to Everness is slated for PlayStation 5, iOS, and Android platforms. Mobile users, unfortunately, will need to wait a bit longer.

Neverness to Everness is poised to enter a competitive urban RPG market, alongside titles like Zenless Zone Zero and Ananta. Backed by the powerful Unreal Engine 5 and Hotta Studio's experience from Tower of Fantasy, this game is well-positioned to make a significant impact.
