"Morikomori Life: New Social, Rural Sim with Ghibli-Style Art"

"Morikomori Life" has officially launched on Android and iOS, but for now, it's exclusively available in Japan. The game is brought to Japanese players by Realfun Studio, while its initial release in China was handled by Level Infinite under Tencent Games. Unfortunately, the Chinese version was discontinued about a year ago.

The Rural Farm Life Sim Is Back

One of the most enchanting aspects of "Morikomori Life" is its stunning visuals. The developers have masterfully captured the essence of cozy living through anime-inspired art, reminiscent of Studio Ghibli's signature style. The game's scenes are so vivid, they could easily be mistaken for stills from a Ghibli animated feature.

In "Morikomori Life," you step into the shoes of Kaon, a young Japanese girl. The narrative begins with Kaon receiving a mysterious letter from her grandmother, urging her to return to their family village, Komori. As Kaon, you embark on a journey back to the village of her childhood memories.

The gameplay focuses on rediscovering the joys of a peaceful rural life. Komori's landscapes, rendered in 3D toon shading, evoke the warmth and charm of Japan's countryside. Don't just take my word for it; you can see the beauty of "Morikomori Life" for yourself by watching the game trailers below:

Morikomori Life Lets You Experience Slow-Paced Living

"Morikomori Life" is all about embracing the slower pace of rural living. Engage in a variety of activities like farming, cooking, fishing, hunting, and even constructing your own home. You'll also find yourself chopping wood, mining for ore, and scavenging for rare materials as you explore the expansive world.

As you gather resources, you'll unlock new ways to enhance your home and enrich your lifestyle. Customize Kaon's appearance to suit your personal style, and forge friendships with the villagers. Use foraged ingredients to whip up meals, and lend a helping hand to the locals with various tasks.

The game offers a high degree of character customization, allowing you to express your unique personality. With its open-world design, you're free to roam and discover delightful surprises at every turn.

Currently, "Morikomori Life" is available on Android in Japan. If you're in the region, you can download it from the Google Play Store. There's no news yet on a global release, so stay tuned for updates.
