Exciting times are ahead for Monster Hunter Now players as Niantic introduces a new feature called Monster Outbreaks. This innovative addition is currently in the testing phase, allowing players to provide feedback and help refine the feature before its official release.
When Is the Monster Outbreaks Testing in Monster Hunter Now?
The testing phase for Monster Outbreaks is scheduled from April 26th to 27th, with two sessions each day. The event will run from 10:00 to 10:59 a.m. and again from 3:00 to 3:59 p.m., local time, on both Saturday and Sunday. During these times, specific outbreak points on the map will be teeming with 8-star Black Diablos. The goal is for players to collaborate and take down 100 of these formidable creatures at each outbreak location within the one-hour window. Note that this is not a global total but specific to each outbreak spot.
To participate, you must be at least Hunter Rank (HR) 11. Importantly, the party feature won't be available; only in-person group hunts will count towards the goal. Outbreak points are clearly marked on the map with a unique icon, and you can tap on them to view details. A sign-up roster at each location allows you to coordinate with other hunters.
Black Diablos Is Rolling Up with Serious Boss Energy, in Swarm Mode!
The mechanics of the slay count are intriguing. If you and three other hunters take down one Black Diablos, it counts as four towards the 100-monster goal. Should your group reach the 100 mark before the time runs out, you can continue hunting Black Diablos for the remainder of the hour.
Successful groups that meet the 100-monster target will be rewarded with 3 Black Diablos Tailcases, 3 Ridges, 3 Primeshells, 3 Marrows, and 2,000 Zenny. Additionally, using the sign-up roster offers a chance to earn the special Outbreak Test I Medal.
