"Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 2: Release Date Leaked by PlayStation"

By AlexisJul 16,2025

In a surprising twist, Sony inadvertently revealed details about *Monster Hunter Wilds*’ Title Update 2 through the official PlayStation website before quickly rolling back the changes. During the brief window, the *Monster Hunter Wilds* page on the PlayStation Store confirmed that the update is scheduled to launch on June 30.

The leak provided more than just a release date — it also outlined some of the content arriving with Title Update 2. Players can look forward to new in-game events, layered weapons, and the formidable Arch-Tempered Uth Duna known as Leviathan. Additionally, two popular monsters are set to make an appearance. One has already been confirmed as Lagiacrus — the powerful aquatic leviathan — while the second remains unconfirmed but is widely believed to be Seregios, according to data mining sources.

A brand-new cosmetic armor set was also discovered during the leak, sparking excitement across the fan community. Reddit user u/youMYSTme humorously remarked:

“The new event rewards make me feel like an old man...”

While Capcom had already teased that more news about its upcoming titles and developer interviews would be shared during its upcoming showcase, this leak only heightened anticipation for the official reveal. The Capcom Spotlight livestream is scheduled for 3pm PT / 11pm UK time on Thursday, June 25, where fans expect these updates to be formally announced.

Since its launch, *Monster Hunter Wilds* has shattered sales records, moving over 8 million copies within just three days. This impressive figure makes it the fastest-selling title in Capcom’s history, surpassing earlier entries such as *Monster Hunter World*, which reached 5 million units sold in 2018, and *Monster Hunter Rise*, which hit 4 million in 2021.
