Following the conclusion of its open beta on Steam on March 16, the multiplayer mech game Mecha BREAK has garnered significant attention and valuable feedback from players. With a peak of over 300,000 players during the beta, the game has surged to become the 5th most wishlisted title on Steam. In response to player feedback, Chinese developer Amazing Seasun is now contemplating significant changes to enhance the gaming experience, including the possibility of making all mechs, known as Break Strikers, available from the start of the game.
Currently, at the game's outset, players have access to only one Break Striker. To unlock the remaining 11, players must engage in numerous multiplayer matches to earn the necessary in-game currency. This process can be time-consuming, potentially deterring some players from fully exploring the game's offerings. Amazing Seasun is considering adjustments to the availability of Break Strikers and the mechanics of mech modules for both 3v3 and 6v6 competitive modes. However, the developer has not made any final commitments and emphasizes the importance of a live service model for the game's launch and future sustainability.
