Marvel Rivals: Spring Festival Event Joins Overwatch Celebration

Marvel Rivals is launching a major Spring Festival event this Thursday! Players can snag a free Star-Lord costume and jump into a brand-new game mode: Clash of Dancing Lions. This 3v3 mode challenges teams to score a ball in the opposing goal.

While the gameplay might evoke comparisons to Rocket League, it bears a closer resemblance to Overwatch's Lucioball – another 3v3 soccer-style mode. This similarity is noteworthy, as Marvel Rivals is striving to establish its unique identity and differentiate itself from Overwatch. The choice to feature a similar game mode for its first major event is interesting, though the Marvel Rivals event boasts a distinct Chinese New Year theme, unlike Overwatch's Olympic Games theme.
