Developed by Squanch Games, High on Life 2 continues the tradition of over-the-top humor and stylized first-person shooter gameplay that defined its predecessor. Known for its distinctive cartoon aesthetic and talking alien firearms, the game promises more chaotic adventures in a vibrant sci-fi universe.

The original High on Life launched in 2022 to mixed critical reception and sparked controversy due to the involvement of Justin Roiland. Despite this, it found considerable success on Xbox Game Pass, gaining a strong player base. Last year, rumors surfaced about an animated series based on the game, further expanding the franchise’s reach.

In High on Life 2, players pick up where they left off after dismantling the space cartel in the first game. However, peace is short-lived.

"When a mysterious figure from your past reappears and puts a bounty on your sister’s head, your peaceful life is thrown into disarray," according to the official game description. "Do you have what it takes to risk everything and take down an intergalactic conspiracy that once again threatens humanity—your favorite species?"

The game’s announcement highlights the return of its signature comedic tone, with a promise of an “all-star comedy cast.” While specific names haven’t been revealed yet, fans can expect plenty of quirky voices and absurd humor typical of Squanch Games' style.
