In 2024, LEGO launched its most expansive project yet: a minifigure-scale recreation of Hogwarts Castle from the Harry Potter series. A single set of this magnitude would be impractical and costly, so LEGO is releasing multiple smaller sets that combine to form the complete castle—a monumental endeavor.
This ongoing project has no set completion date, but given the current pace, it will likely span several years.
We’ve been assembling the LEGO Hogwarts Castle since its debut and will continue adding sets until it’s finished. Want to join in? It’s not too late to start, though some key sets will be retired by year-end.
Below is a list of all sets released so far for the modular LEGO Hogwarts Castle, including a total piece count and price, which we’ll update as new sets are added. We’ve also included photos of the castle’s current state to showcase its progress.

Hogwarts Castle: Owlery

The Owlery is a standalone structure, making it a great starting point for cost-conscious builders. Its snow-capped spires give it a wintery look, so you may want to swap pieces for seasonal consistency with the rest of the castle.
Hogwarts Castle: Boathouse

The Boathouse shares the same gray spires as the Owlery, sparking speculation among fans in 2024 that these sets kicked off the modular Hogwarts Castle. It includes two small boats to recreate Harry’s iconic arrival at Hogwarts.
Hogwarts Castle: Potions Class

This classroom set can replace another room in the castle, like the Great Hall’s girl’s bathroom, which depicts the troll attack on Hermione. The Potions Classroom, led by Professor Snape, offers vibrant details and richer roleplay opportunities, making it a valuable addition, though not essential.
Hogwarts Castle: The Great Hall

A cornerstone of the Hogwarts Castle, the Great Hall includes the iconic dining hall for Sorting Ceremonies and feasts, plus three rooms: the girl’s bathroom with the troll scene, a corridor, and the Hufflepuff Common Room. It connects to the Boathouse and Main Tower and can swap its bathroom for the Potions Classroom. We photographed this set at launch.
Hogwarts Castle: Dueling Club

This set recreates the Dueling Club scene where Draco summons a snake and Harry uses Parseltongue. A gimmicked table makes minifigures fly backward. It can replace the Great Hall’s house tables for added fun, but it’s not critical to the castle’s structure.
Hogwarts Castle: Charms Class

Relive the Wingardium Leviosa scene with Professor Flitwick’s Charms Classroom, featuring his original movie look. This set slots into the Flying Lessons set and can swap with the Quidditch equipment room for added versatility.
Hogwarts Castle: Flying Lessons

This set captures Harry’s first broomstick ride with Madame Hooch, while the interior focuses on Professor McGonagall with her office, Transfiguration classroom, and Quidditch equipment room. It doesn’t yet connect to other sets but will integrate as the castle grows.
Hogwarts Castle: Herbology Class

The Herbology Classroom features Professor Sprout, Hermione, and Neville in greenhouse gear, with mandrakes and earmuffs for an authentic feel. As a standalone greenhouse, it sits near the main castle but doesn’t connect directly.
Hogwarts Castle: The Main Tower

A key component, the Main Tower connects to the Great Hall and includes rooms from the Sorcerer’s Stone trials: Devil’s Snare, Flying Keys, and Chess Set, plus Fluffy’s room, a corridor, the Gryffindor Common Room, rotating staircases, Dumbledore’s office, and the Mirror of Erised. We photographed this set at launch.

What's Next?

Before the Owlery’s release, LEGO introduced a miniature Hogwarts Castle with matching gray spires, possibly hinting at the final modular design. The circled sections in the image above show the completed parts, with roughly two-thirds of the castle still to come. The Viaduct Bridge connecting the Great Hall to the Central Hall could be next, followed by the Central Hall itself as a major build.
This is just speculation, though—stay tuned for updates.
