Game of Thrones: Kingsroad Mobile RPG Beta Test Announced
Netmarble's upcoming mobile RPG, Game of Thrones: Kingsroad, has unveiled a new gameplay trailer and details about its closed beta test. The action-adventure game, set during the show's fourth season, promises engaging combat and a rich narrative experience.
The closed beta, running from January 16th to 22nd, 2025, in the US, Canada, and select European regions, offers fans a sneak peek before the full release later this year. Players can register via the game's official website.
Featuring class-based progression with "fully manual" controls, Kingsroad boasts impressive graphics and a compelling storyline centered around a new character, heir to House Tyrell in the North. Iconic characters like Jon Snow, Jaime Lannister, and Drogon are also confirmed to appear.
The trailer showcases the game's "raw, aggressive, and destructive" combat system. Netmarble, known for titles like Marvel Future Fight and Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds, aims to deliver a story-rich mobile experience drawing upon the extensive lore and characters created by George R.R. Martin and the HBO series. The game's original story incorporates elements inspired by Wildlings, Dothraki, and the Faceless Men.
