When King of Crabs launched in 2019, it captured hearts with its quirky yet captivating concept—a battle royale featuring crabs. Now, the developer, Robot Squid, is diving back into the world of crustacean combat with an even grander vision. Introducing King of Crabs – Invasion, a new game that promises to escalate the crab-themed chaos to epic proportions.
From Epic Crab Battle Royale to Epic Crab Warfare
In this latest installment, Robot Squid has transformed the gameplay from the original's frenetic free-for-all into a more strategic experience. Instead of dropping into a chaotic tidepool alongside 99 other players, King of Crabs – Invasion adopts a real-time strategy (RTS) format. This shift turns the original's wild scramble into a more calculated mini RTS.
You still command your crab army into battle, but the focus has shifted. Rather than frantically searching for weapons and consuming smaller creatures to grow, you now strategically deploy units across a linear battlefield. Your arsenal includes standard crab soldiers, catapults, and imposing mace-wielding tanks equipped with formidable claws. Victory hinges on outmaneuvering your opponent and overwhelming them before they can do the same to you, all while navigating the map and its unpredictable obstacles.
