Set five years post-*Jurassic World Dominion*, the film's plot reveals a world where dinosaurs struggle to survive in an inhospitable environment, confined to isolated equatorial zones that mimic their ancient habitats. Within these areas, the three largest creatures across land, sea, and air hold the secret to a groundbreaking drug that could revolutionize human medicine.

Academy Award nominee Scarlett Johansson takes on the role of Zora Bennett, a skilled covert operations expert, leading her team on a covert mission to extract vital genetic material. Their plans are thrown into chaos when they cross paths with a civilian family, whose boat was overturned by aggressive aquatic dinosaurs, leaving them stranded on the forbidden island. Amidst a landscape populated by diverse dinosaur species, they uncover a sinister and shocking secret that has been concealed from the world for decades.

The final trailer highlights a scene reminiscent of Michael Crichton's *Jurassic Park* novel, featuring a river raft sequence that was omitted from the 1993 film. Screenwriter David Koepp, in preparation for this sequel, revisited Crichton’s novels, drawing inspiration from the unused sequences. "There was a sequence from the first novel that we’d always wanted in the original movie, but didn’t have room for," Koepp shared. "We were like, ‘Hey, we get to use that now.’"

Can a T-Rex swim? Yes, it turns out.

The trailer also introduces a variety of new dinosaurs, including a closer look at the 'D-Rex,' officially known as Distortus Rex. This new mutant dinosaur, a hybrid of a T-Rex and a Rancor from *Star Wars*, is described by director Gareth Edwards as "kind of like if the T-Rex was designed by H.R. Giger, and then that whole thing had sex with a Rancor."

This is the Distortus Rex, aka the D-Rex. Rancor vibes?

Additionally, the trailer features the winged Mutadons, a unique blend of a pterosaur and a Raptor, adding to the film's array of menacing creatures.

Jurassic Park always has a terrifying raptor scene. This time, there are Mutadons.
