June Update: Pokémon Go Adds Exciting New Features

By OliviaMay 28,2025

As we approach the pre-summer season, Pokémon Go enthusiasts are in for a treat with the upcoming June update, even if the weather outside has been less than ideal with heavy rain. The update promises a slew of exciting new features and events that will keep players engaged and entertained.

The spotlight of this update shines on three new featured Pokémon: Shadow Regice, Gigantamax Inteleon, and Gigantamax Cinderace. These Pokémon will be accompanied by a series of five Dynamax battles featuring Chansey (June 2nd), Machop (June 9th-15th), Hatenna (June 16th-22nd), Caterpie (June 23rd-29th), and Shuckle (June 30th-July 6th). These battles will be available throughout the month at various Power Spots, adding an extra layer of excitement to your Pokémon Go adventures.

The June update wouldn't be complete without new five-star Raids to challenge players. Tapu Bulu (June 3rd-5th), Groudon (June 5th-14th), Kyogre (June 14th-23rd), and Cobalion (June 30th-July 8th) will make their appearances, with the possibility of encountering Shiny versions for the luckiest trainers.

For those interested in Shadow Raids, Shadow Regice will be the star of the show, appearing during weekends in June. Mega Raids will also feature prominently, with mega versions of Altaria (June 3rd-5th), Abomasnow (June 5th-14th), Manectric (June 14th-23rd), Beedrill (June 23rd-30th), and Aggron (June 30th-July 8th) ready to challenge players.

The upcoming events are equally thrilling. The Serene Retreat event kicks off from May 30th to June 3rd, setting the stage for a month filled with exciting events like Instrumental Wonders, Phantom Ruins, Community Days, and a mystery event. These events are sure to add a splash of fun to the rainy pre-summer days for all Pokémon fans.
