The news was shared at CinemaCon by Adam Fogelson, the chair of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group, confirming that the beloved 60-year-old actor Keanu Reeves will reprise his iconic role as the legendary assassin, John Wick.
The project is in its early stages, with Thunder Road's producers Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee, along with franchise director and producer Chad Stahelski, and star and producer Keanu Reeves, all set to return. While no specific release date has been provided, the anticipation is already building among the franchise's dedicated fanbase.
The decision to greenlight another installment in the mainline series comes as no surprise, given the impressive performance of John Wick: Chapter 4, which grossed over $440 million worldwide.
