"Ironheart Trailer: Riri Williams Smashes Truck, Meets Suspicious Hood"

Marvel has unveiled the first trailer for Ironheart, the much-anticipated MCU series set to premiere on Disney+. The show features Dominique Thorne returning as the armored superhero Riri Williams, a character she first portrayed in 2022's Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Joining her is Anthony Ramos as Parker Robbins, also known as The Hood. The trailer offers a glimpse into the series, spotlighting Riri's evolution into a standalone superhero after her initial supporting role in the MCU.

PlayParker Robbins, portrayed as a mentor figure to Riri, seems to have ulterior motives, adding intrigue to his character.

Ironheart, executive produced by Ryan Coogler, will kick off with a three-episode premiere on June 24 at 6pm PT/9pm ET on Disney+. The series follows Riri as she reflects on her time in Wakanda as an "internship abroad." After being expelled from MIT, she faces a pivotal choice influenced by The Hood, who challenges her with the notion that achieving greatness often requires morally ambiguous actions.

The trailer showcases thrilling action sequences, including Riri suiting up, taking flight, and dramatically grounding herself to punch a truck, sending it soaring over her head.

View 15 ImagesMarvel's lineup of upcoming shows is robust. Another series spinning off from the Black Panther universe is Eyes of Wakanda, a four-episode animated series focusing on the elite Hatut Zaraze warriors, set to debut on August 6.

Additionally, Marvel will release Marvel Zombies, another four-episode animated series premiering on October 3. This series is set in the zombie reality introduced in the first season of What If...? and will feature several MCU stars reprising their roles, including Elizabeth Olsen as Scarlet Witch, Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, David Harbour as Red Guardian, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, Awkwafina as Katy Chen, Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop, and Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan.

Lastly, Wonder Man, a live-action series starring Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Simon Williams, is slated for a December 2025 release. Simon, a superpowered actor and recurring Avengers member in the comics, will be joined by Ben Kingsley reprising his role as Trevor Slattery from Iron Man 3, and Demetrius Grosse as the Grim Reaper, Simon's villainous brother.
