Infinity Nikki Delays Version 1.6 Launch Following Community Backlash

After weeks of players voicing their frustrations, the development team behind Infinity Nikki has finally addressed the tumultuous rollout of Version 1.5. Released on April 28th, the update was met with widespread criticism for feeling incomplete. The team has now admitted that they weren't fully prepared for the launch, leading to the decision to delay Version 1.6. Originally scheduled for June 4th, the new release date for Version 1.6 is set for June 12th.

When Is the Update Releasing?

To accommodate the delay, the current Bubble Season in Infinity Nikki has been extended until June 12th. This means popular events such as Chase the Bubbles, Rainbow Album, and Where Are the Gifties? will continue to run. In addition, stores like Pear-Pal Selected/Store: Clothing, Heartfelt Gifts, and the Shake Up Bubble Jar! top-up event will remain open. Even weekly tasks like Starlit Pursuit, initially planned for May 20th, have been postponed to align with the Version 1.6 release.

The developers have issued an apology, acknowledging the performance issues across various platforms, including PlayStation. They are currently refining gameplay systems and have reassured players that missing storylines, such as Threads of Reunion, have not been abandoned but merely delayed.

Apart from the Version 1.6 Delays, What’s Up with Infinity Nikki?

Recent updates to the game have been plagued by bugs, broken quests, and co-op malfunctions. In an effort to mitigate the fallout, the team is offering compensation to players—120 Diamonds and 1 Crystal per day from June 5th to June 12th, provided they log in daily to claim their rewards.

Some members of the community have labeled this move as a last-ditch effort to boost engagement following the series of mishaps. Disappointment has been further fueled by the swift transition from an apology to promotional banners showcasing new outfits, which many felt was poorly timed.
