Hylea's Talon: A Guide to Acquiring Avowed's Rare Upgrade Material

Hylea's Talon is a crucial, rare upgrade material in Avowed, essential for crafting powerful equipment. This guide details multiple methods for obtaining this valuable resource.

Fastest Methods: Merchants

The quickest way to acquire Hylea's Talon is by purchasing it from merchants. Lluisa Melcer (Farmer's Market) and Abritt Porrya (Piaza Mez Vidarro) in the Emerald Stair region sell up to 5 Talons each for 450 coins apiece.

Exploration and Foraging

Hylea's Talon can also be found throughout the game world, particularly in the Emerald Stair region. Look for the distinctive plant icon on your mini-map. While exploring, keep an eye out for these plants; they're scattered throughout the environment. Progressing through the main Emerald Stair quests will naturally lead you to many of these locations.

Crafting and Material Conversion

  • Crafting: Four Paradisan Ladder can be combined at your party camp workbench to create one Hylea's Talon.
  • Downgrading: If you have excess Admeth's Wyrt, you can downgrade it into Hylea's Talon using the "Downgrade" option in the workbench's "Upgrade Materials" section.

Disassembling Equipment

High-quality equipment ("Exceptional" or better) can be broken down at your workbench. Check the item description's "Break Down" section to see if it yields Hylea's Talon. This is a useful method for unwanted upgraded weapons and armor.

With these methods, you'll be well-equipped to gather the Hylea's Talon you need to enhance your gear in Avowed. Now go forth and conquer!

Avowed is available now on PC and Xbox.
