Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.1 Leak Hints at Free 4-Star Character Selector

A recent leak suggests Honkai: Star Rail Version 3.1 will include a free 4-star character selector, likely tied to a limited-time event. This follows the release of numerous 5-star characters, leading to a relative scarcity of new 4-star additions.

The selector, according to leaker HomDGCat, will offer a choice between Qingque, Pela, Serval, and Asta. Interestingly, all four are from the game's initial 1.0 cycle, with Asta even being an early-game acquisition. This fuels speculation that developer HoYoverse may be focusing primarily on 5-star character releases in the near future.

The inclusion of this selector could be a boon for players, especially considering that while some 4-star characters remain viable, many require significant Eidolon investment to reach their full potential. Previous updates offered similar selectors, aiding players in bolstering their rosters.

• Pela: Ice, Nihility
• Serval: Lightning, Erudition
• Asta: Fire, Harmony

While Pela and Asta continue to serve as useful supports, Qingque and Serval have been somewhat overshadowed by newer DPS characters. Furthermore, all four are available for purchase in the in-game store.
