Honkai: Star Rail – The Herta Team Composition Guide

The Herta isn't a new face to Honkai: Star Rail players. Many anticipated her arrival, especially given the familiarity with her puppet counterparts used in various team compositions. Unlike some characters, The Herta retains her 4-star version's Path and Element, but her gameplay is significantly different. Her kit centers around accumulating "Interpretation" stacks, gained whenever an ally attacks enemies, to massively boost her damage.

To maximize her potential, prioritize team compositions with allies who frequently use AoE attacks, including follow-up attacks, for efficient stack generation.

Her unique ability, "Message From Beyond the Veil," grants all allies an 80% Crit DMG boost if another Erudition character is present. This makes her ideal for duo DPS compositions with another Erudition character. Below are some optimal team pairings.

Best Premium Team Composition

This team (Jade, Robin, Lingsha, and The Herta) is exceptionally strong. Jade, an ideal Erudition partner, frequently performs AoE attacks, perfectly complementing The Herta's stacking mechanic. Her follow-up attacks are particularly effective when The Herta is the Debt Collector. Lingsha provides crucial sustain, maintaining high HP for allies, countering The Herta's HP drain. Her AoE follow-up attacks also boost stack generation. Aventurine is a strong alternative, offering excellent shielding but less consistent stack generation due to his bouncing attacks. Other sustain options like Huo Huo or Fu Xuan offer support, though their attacks aren't as frequent. Robin excels as a buffer, enhancing follow-up attacks and providing overall DMG buffs, crucial for challenging content. Sunday (Robin's brother) or Ruan Mei are viable alternatives. Serval is a strong 4-star replacement. Remembrance Trailblazer is excellent, especially in Ice DPS situations. Mem's True DMG and Crit DMG buff add valuable utility. Pela offers a strong alternative, debuffing enemies while maintaining high SP and performing AoE attacks. Tingyun provides ATK and Energy buffs but lacks AoE capabilities, making her less synergistic. Gallagher's SP-positive playstyle and AoE Ultimate provide consistent value, though this slot depends on available healer/sustain options.
