"Guide to Obtaining a Mount in Rune Slayer"

By AllisonMay 19,2025

*Rune Slayer* offers a comprehensive MMORPG experience within *Roblox*, complete with quests like "Kill 10 X," crafting, dungeons, and even fishing. One key feature of any MMORPG is the ability to ride mounts, and *Rune Slayer* allows players to do just that. While the game doesn't explicitly guide you on obtaining a mount, we're here to walk you through the process.

Before You Get a Mount

Before you embark on your journey to acquire a mount in *Rune Slayer*, there are two prerequisites you need to meet:

  • Reach level 20: This shouldn't take more than a few hours (roughly 5-6 hours, or even quicker with friends). Focus on completing Quests, Jobs, and defeating mobs to level up efficiently.
  • Tame a Pet: The game provides a quest that introduces you to pet taming. Here's how to tame one:
    • Locate an animal you wish to tame (e.g., Deer, Wolf, Spider).
    • Strike it once to initiate the taming process.
    • Equip a food item that the animal enjoys (Apples for Deer, Raw Deer Meat for Wolves).
    • A heart will appear above the animal's head. If it fills completely, the animal will collapse and become your pet.
    • If the heart turns black, the taming attempt fails. Don't worry; just find another animal and try again.

Once you've achieved level 20 and tamed a pet, you're ready to move forward with obtaining your mount.

Finish the Mount Quest

Upon reaching level 20, visit **Jimmy the Stable Master in Wayshire**, who will offer you a quest called "Jimmy's Delivery." Accept the quest and head north through Wayshire's northern entrance. Follow the road and ascend the hill leading to **Greatwood Forest**. Be cautious not to stray too far as the mobs here can be challenging. Continue north until you arrive at **Ashenshire**, recognizable by the large houses built atop trees.

In Ashenshire, find a rope to climb up. The first NPC you'll encounter at the top is **Madonna the Stable Master**. Speak to her and select the option, "I have a package for you." She will accept the package. Then, return to Wayshire by heading south.

Back in Wayshire, speak to **Jimmy the Stable Master** again (he'll have an exclamation mark above his head). He will reward you with **a Saddle**, which won't appear in your inventory to prevent accidental loss or sale.

How to Mount Your Pet in Rune Slayer

With the saddle obtained, summon your pet by holding **"T"**. Approach your pet and select the **"Mount"** option by pressing **"E"**. This method works for all mountable pets, allowing you to traverse *Rune Slayer*'s world at high speeds. Enjoy your new mount and explore the vast landscapes of *Rune Slayer*.
