Sony has officially announced the global launch schedule for the highly anticipated PlayStation 5 exclusive, Ghost of Yotei.
According to Sony's confirmation to IGN, Sucker Punch's sequel to Ghost of Tsushima is officially set for release on October 2. However, players in certain regions of the United States will gain access a day earlier, starting on October 1.
It's important to be aware that Ghost of Yotei will receive a substantial day-one patch. This update introduces a range of key enhancements to the overall experience. Sony shared the full patch notes with IGN and emphasized that players who purchase the physical disc version must install this update. The company also advises all players to verify their game is on Version 1.006 before starting.
Pre-loading for Ghost of Yotei via the PlayStation Store became available last week, with the full game requiring over 85GB of storage space.
IGN's Ghost of Yotei review awarded the game a score of 8/10. Our assessment stated: "Ghost of Yotei delivers a compelling samurai fantasy through a beautifully realized world and satisfyingly fluid combat. While its narrative may follow a familiar path and it stops short of reinventing the open-world genre, it stands as a superb execution of its core concepts."
