"Game of Thrones: Kingsroad Demo Horrifies Players"

From the moment "Game of Thrones: Kingsroad" was announced, the gaming community had mixed reactions. Many were quick to point out that the game's visuals and overall aesthetic seemed stuck in the PlayStation 3 era, or worse, reminiscent of a typical mobile game. Despite these initial criticisms, a segment of the fanbase remained hopeful, eager for a new and engaging experience set in the world of the iconic series, especially given the scarcity of quality games based on "Game of Thrones".

The release of the demo during Steam Next Fest has seemingly settled the debate, and unfortunately, not in favor of "Kingsroad". Players who got their hands on the demo were overwhelmingly negative, criticizing almost every aspect of the game. The combat mechanics felt outdated, the graphics were subpar, and many design choices seemed to be more suited for mobile gaming. Some have even gone as far as to label "Kingsroad" as a straightforward port of a mobile game to PC. Even if it's not a direct port, the consensus is clear: the game feels like it belongs to the early 2010s.

Despite the predominantly negative feedback, the demo's Steam page also hosts positive comments. Phrases like "I really enjoyed the demo, looking forward to the full release" appear frequently. Whether these are the sentiments of genuine optimists or the work of bots remains a subject of speculation.

"Game of Thrones: Kingsroad" is slated for release on both PC (via Steam) and mobile devices, though an exact release date has yet to be announced.
