Secure a Free Bow Early in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
Early-game combat in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 can be challenging, especially with limited weaponry. This guide shows you how to obtain the Dogwood Village Bow early and without spending a single groat.
After parting ways with Hans, your path to the wedding involves either working for a blacksmith or miller. Regardless of your chosen profession, the blacksmith's location conveniently marks the bow's whereabouts on your map.
The blacksmith's workshop is situated in Tachov, north of Troskowitz. Leave Troskowitz heading west, then follow the path as it curves north. At the fork where a smaller road branches west, veer right towards a cluster of trees. This seemingly unremarkable area conceals a small training ground.
Within the trees, you'll find a target riddled with arrows—free ammo! To the right of the target, leaning against a tree trunk, rests the Dogwood Village Bow. Help yourself to some nearby brew and mushrooms while you're there.
Alternative Acquisition:
While purchasing the Dogwood Village Bow from Huntsman's Son Vitek in Tachov is an option, it's not the most powerful ranged weapon and isn't worth the cost given its free proximity. Vitek does, however, sell superior weapons, and you can supplement your funds through alchemy.
Regardless of your chosen method, having a ranged weapon significantly eases combat in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, especially beneficial for those who prefer a ranged approach. After acquiring your bow, resume the main quest by continuing to Tachov (for the blacksmith job) or the miller.
