While some U.S. Apple users might encounter difficulties finding Fortnite through the App Store's search function at the moment, Epic assures that this will be rectified "soon." In the interim, you can access its revived store page by clicking here. For players in the E.U., the game is also available for download on the Epic Games Store and AltStore.

The reintroduction of Fortnite on iOS devices like the iPhone and iPad marks the resolution of a significant conflict between Epic and Apple. The tension began in August 2020, when both Google and Apple removed Fortnite from their digital stores following an update by Epic that reduced V-Bucks prices and introduced a direct payment system. Epic cited the "exorbitant" fees charged by Apple and Google as the reason for their bold move.

This decision sparked a prolonged legal battle, preventing Fortnite from appearing on official storefronts for millions of players. The situation changed in April when Epic CEO Tim Sweeney announced Fortnite's return to the iOS App Store in early May, following a ruling by a U.S. Federal District Court in California. However, a last-minute hiccup involving Apple's continued blocking delayed the return, but now, after five years, Fortnite is back on iOS devices.

Players downloading Fortnite on their Apple devices can now choose to buy V-Bucks either through the Epic Games Store or via in-app purchases. For instance, those opting for the 2,800 V-Bucks pack at $22.99 can send their payment directly to Epic, receiving $4.60 (20%) in return to use on other Epic offerings.

Yesterday, the Screen Actors Guild - American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA) filed an unfair labor practice charge against Epic.
