This Fan-Favorite Sims Character Is Finally Making an Appearance in The Sims 4

By EmeryMar 26,2025

Attention, Sim enthusiasts! The notorious Burglar is making a comeback, ready to stir up some nostalgic chaos in The Sims 4. With the latest update rolling out on PC and consoles, meet Robin Banks, the sly thief who's eager to pilfer your Sims' prized possessions under the cover of night.

Robin typically strikes when your Sims are fast asleep, but don't let your guard down—she's been known to pull off a daring heist even when the household is awake. To protect your valuables, consider installing a burglar alarm. Should Robin trip it, the police will swiftly arrive to apprehend her and retrieve your stolen goods. Even without an alarm, a quick call to the authorities can save the day. Or, if you're feeling bold, take matters into your own hands with some vigilante justice.

While burglar events are rare by default, thrill-seekers can ramp up the excitement with the Lot Challenge Heist Havoc, increasing the chances of a visit from Robin.

"We are so thrilled to finally bring the Burglar back into The Sims universe," shared The Sims team. "A special shout-out to our full team for making this a reality. Robin Banks isn’t just ready to rob your Sims’ houses — she’s here to steal your hearts too! What better way to celebrate The Sims 25th Birthday than with this nostalgic yet fresh addition? We hope you’re as excited as we are to see what kind of chaos Robin Banks will bring to your households."

Despite being a decade old, The Sims 4 continues to thrive, and the entire series celebrates its 25th anniversary. Last year alone, it attracted over 15 million new players. According to EA's Q2 earnings report from late last year, The Sims 4 reached 20 million unique players in its first four years as a premium game. However, when it transitioned to free-to-play in 2022, it saw an incredible surge, gaining 31 million new players immediately and reaching a total of 85 million by May 2024. And while fans eagerly await news, there are currently no plans for The Sims 5... Plum!
