Emails verifying participation in the closed testing of Elden Ring Nightreign, scheduled from February 14 to 17, 2025, have begun to be dispatched by Bandai Namco. These lucky players will be among the first to dive into the game, which is designed for a thrilling three-person cooperative mode, as outlined in the letter.
Due to the immense popularity of Nightreign, however, scammers are exploiting the hype by circulating fake testing invitations. Some players have reported receiving emails that mimic official notifications from Bandai Namco, falsely claiming to offer an invitation to participate in the testing. These deceptive emails contain links to counterfeit websites that resemble Steam.

Once players attempt to log in to these fraudulent sites, they risk losing access to their accounts. In some instances, victims have received similar scam messages from their own friends. Fortunately, some affected players have successfully regained access to their accounts after reaching out to Steam support.
It's crucial to exercise caution with links and always verify the authenticity of the sources. If in doubt, it's best to stick to official channels and avoid clicking on suspicious links.
In a notable change for Elden Ring: Nightreign, players will no longer be able to leave messages within the game. Project director Junya Ishizaki explained this decision in an interview, stating that due to the roughly forty-minute duration of Nightreign gaming sessions, there simply isn't enough time for players to leave or check messages.
Given the limited session time of approximately forty minutes, we've opted to disable the messaging feature to ensure a more focused and immersive gameplay experience.
