Elden Ring Nightreign launch times announced globally

The night descends as Bandai Namco and FromSoftware announce worldwide launch timings for Elden Ring Nightreign.

The official release window begins May 30 at midnight EDT across PC, PlayStation 4/5, and Xbox One/Series X|S platforms. However, regional time differences allow some players early access—for instance, West Coast gamers in Pacific Time can start playing at 9pm on May 29.

Platforms also feature staggered availability. According to Bandai Namco, PC players gain earlier access in most regions compared to consoles. East Coast PC players can begin at 6pm on May 29 while console users must wait until midnight.

Pre-load options become available 48 hours before launch across PlayStation, Xbox, and Steam platforms. In IGN's discussion with game director Junya Ishizaki, the developer explained their design philosophy focusing on solo and trio gameplay as core experiences. When questioned about excluding dedicated duo play, Ishizaki acknowledged this as an oversight.

"We regretfully overlooked implementing dedicated two-player options during development," confessed Ishizaki. "Our primary focus remained crafting a balanced three-player cooperative experience at Nightreign's foundation."

"As a player myself, I recognize solo play importance," Ishizaki continued. "We invested heavily in refining single-player viability within our rule systems. Unfortunately, this emphasis caused us to neglect duo functionality—something we're evaluating for potential post-launch support."

Players planning duo sessions should prepare for matchmaking with a third companion—who might pleasantly surprise with their skills.
