Reaching Bloodmoon Island in Divinity: Original Sin 2
Bloodmoon Island, shrouded in Deathfog and accessible only via a destroyed bridge, is crucial for progressing the main storyline and unlocking side quests. This guide details methods to overcome this obstacle.
Method 1: The Spirit Bridge
The remnants of a bridge northeast of Cloisterwood, near Jahan and Witch Alice, offer a path. Use Spirit Vision to reveal the broken segments. Crossing requires:
- Gloves of Teleportation: Teleport each party member individually.
- Translocation Skills: Use skills like Phoenix Dive, Cloak and Dagger, or Tactical Retreat (if your party possesses them).
- Teleporter Pyramids: Place one pyramid with a companion possessing a translocation skill. They cross, then the rest teleport to their location using the second pyramid.
- Fast Travel: Once a companion reaches Bloodmoon Island using any method above, the rest of the party can fast travel to the discovered waypoint.
Method 2: The Undead Ferry
Located northwest of Cloisterwood, an undead ferryman offers passage across the Deathfog. However, this is a trap!
- With Fane: Only Fane (being undead and immune to Deathfog) can safely use the ferry. He reaches Bloodmoon Island, establishes a waypoint, and the rest of the party can fast travel.
- Without Fane: Use two Teleporter Pyramids. A companion takes the ferry (dying upon arrival), the party teleports to them using the second pyramid, and then resurrects the companion. This method is less efficient than using the bridge.
Important Considerations:
- Avoid attacking the Undead Ferryman unless you've saved your game. He retaliates with a deadly Deathfog spell. Defeating him yields a Soothing Cold skillbook, a belt, and 3,750 XP.
- If Fane isn't in your party, the bridge is the recommended route.
