Deltarune Switch 2 Exclusive Features
Special Room and Unique Controller Features
The Deltarune Switch 2 version was officially announced during Nintendo's April 2nd Direct presentation. This enhanced edition will include Chapters 3 and 4 along with exclusive next-gen console features.
Creator Toby Fox revealed in a Fangamer newsletter that the Switch 2 version will feature a special room utilizing the Joy-Cons' mouse functionality. Fox explained, "We created a small SPECIAL ROOM that takes advantage of simultaneous MOUSE CONTROLS USING BOTH CONTROLLERS - something only possible on Nintendo Switch 2!"
Non-Switch 2 players can still access this room with alternate controls. Additionally, players can transfer their save files from the Nintendo Switch demo versions of Chapters 1 and 2.
Future Chapters Offered as Free Updates
The newsletter confirmed Deltarune's price point at $24.99, which includes Chapters 1-4. While Chapters 1 (2018) and 2 (2021) were originally free, Fox announced upcoming chapters will now be complimentary updates.
Fox stated, "My hope is that as we complete more chapters, players will feel they're getting tremendous value."
The game's soundtrack will be available on Steam for $14.99, featuring 150+ songs from Chapters 3-4, with future tracks included at no additional cost.
