South Korea's Game Rating and Administration Committee (GRAC) has assigned an age rating of "19+" to the highly anticipated game, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. This rating is due to the inclusion of "excessive violence," "excessive profanity, profanity and swearing," and depictions of scenes involving the use of various illegal substances.

In a heartwarming gesture, Hideo Kojima recently presented flowers to actress Shiori Kutsuna in appreciation of her dedication to Death Stranding 2. Despite the challenges of the global pandemic, Kutsuna completed her motion capture in Los Angeles, underwent 3D scanning, and recorded voice lines in both Japanese and English across various locations. Kojima expressed his gratitude, saying, "For Shiori Kutsuna, that's it. I appreciate all of your hard work. Fantastic work, much obliged!" Kutsuna has been involved with the project since the fall of 2022.

At the Tokyo Game Show 2024, Hideo Kojima unveiled captivating materials for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach. The showcase featured a series of two-minute cutscenes that introduced the protagonist's allies. Among them is Tarman, played by George Miller, the captain of the mobile base Magellan, which navigates through tar lakes. Fatih Akin portrays Dollman, a living doll and former medium who has lost his human form. Léa Seydoux reprises her role as Fragile, a character well-loved from the original game.

Another intriguing character introduced is Tomorrow, played by Elle Fanning. According to the storyline, she was discovered in an otherworldly location that resembles the realm of the dead. This ties back to the original Death Stranding's tagline, "Tomorrow is in your hands."

One of the cutscenes features the characters singing the iconic song "Raindrops Keep Fallin' on My Head," written by Burt Bacharach and Hal David, while interacting with a pregnant woman named Rainy, portrayed by Shiori Kutsuna.
