Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe One Last Time Caps Off Marvel's Bloodiest Trilogy

By AidenFeb 16,2025

Cullen Bunn's Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe One Last Time is the highly anticipated finale to the Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe saga. This time, Deadpool's rampage isn't confined to a single universe; he's targeting the entire Marvel multiverse. This latest installment promises a fresh take on the premise, featuring a wider scope and a more sympathetic portrayal of Deadpool.

IGN recently interviewed Bunn, revealing that while the initial Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe wasn't planned as a trilogy, the idea of a multiverse-spanning story was an early concept. The sequel, Deadpool Kills the Marvel Universe Again, upped the ante visually, and Bunn promises that artist Dalibor Talajić will continue this trend in the final chapter. Talajić will explore different visual styles and interpretations of various realities, showcasing warped versions of iconic Marvel heroes and villains.

The story, while part of a larger series, stands alone. While observant readers might find subtle connections to the previous volumes, this installment focuses on a new, more empathetic Deadpool. Bunn describes this Deadpool as having a unique "headspace" that makes this story distinct. The conflict escalates significantly, featuring battles against powerful multiverse variants like Cap-Wolves and Worldbreaker Hulks, and even characters unseen in over 30 years.
