Levelling up not only increases your champion's power but also boosts your overall account's Combat Power (CP).

Upgrading Star Count: In DC: Dark Legion™, each champion starts with a base star count that determines their rarity. For instance, legendary champions begin at 5-stars. You can increase this star count by using shards of the same champion, which means you'll need to get duplicate copies—a process that can be quite costly and luck-dependent. While this might not be the best strategy for new, free-to-play players, it's a powerful way to unlock new abilities and significantly upgrade your hero's stats.
