Following the releases of The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077, not all the experts from CD Projekt RED remained with the company. Some chose to venture into new projects, including the recently unveiled game, *The Blood of Dawnwalker*. This new title is being developed by Rebel Wolves, a studio founded by a veteran of CD Projekt RED, Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz.

Tomaszkiewicz shared his reasons for leaving CD Projekt RED and starting Rebel Wolves. He expressed a desire to explore new ventures with his friends and colleagues, driven by a passion for role-playing games and their evolution. He stated, "I wanted to do something different with my friends, so I started Rebel Wolves. Naturally, we have a strong interest in role-playing games and their history. [But] I believe that these RPG rules can be developed and expanded. We came up with some wild ideas."

He acknowledged the challenges of convincing large corporations to take risks on new intellectual property, saying, "Since it would be difficult to persuade any large corporation to change and do something novel, you know [to work with brand-new] intellectual property, we came to the realization that if we wanted to do them, we would need to open our own studio."

Tomaszkiewicz highlighted the advantages of working in a smaller team at Rebel Wolves, noting that it fosters better communication and easier discussions about the vision for their projects. He believes that "a small team, in my opinion, is capable of more because there is communication among members and discussing the vision is simpler. Feeling the 'creative fire' and creating something unique is simpler."

The development of *The Blood of Dawnwalker* represents a risky yet exciting venture for Rebel Wolves, as they strive to innovate within the RPG genre.
