Kabam is rolling out exciting updates for Marvel Contest of Champions, launching the Dark Phoenix Saga, introducing new Champions, and unveiling a new character type called Eidols. This month also honors the powerful women of the game, giving players a chance to influence an upcoming Champion rework.
Jean Grey and Bastion are the newest additions to The Contest, bringing their unique powers and a thrilling new storyline. Jean Grey will be available to join your roster starting March 13th, and Bastion will follow on the 27th. The Dark Phoenix Saga begins on March 3rd, featuring Jean Grey and the X-Men facing off against dangerous variants in a fresh quest.
The lore of Marvel Contest of Champions continues to grow with the introduction of more Eidols, advancing the Founders storyline. The first Eidol, Isophyne, was introduced in December 2024, and three more Eidols will be unveiled throughout 2025, each with its own unique sourcing system. The next Eidol, Lumatrix, debuts on March 5th and will be available until June 4th.
Lumatrix, designed by The Founders, is a master infiltrator skilled in spying, sabotaging, and assassinating with unmatched precision. Made from ISO-8 crystals, Lumatrix boasts exceptional light manipulation abilities. While it may dazzle on the surface, beneath lies a ruthless weapon designed to eliminate enemies covertly.

March also celebrates the powerful women of The Contest. Kabam has teamed up with seven female developers and content creators, each representing a different Champion. Players can participate in Solo Objectives and Realm Events to decide which Champion will receive a rework in 2025.
