Paradox Interactive has unveiled an exciting roadmap for Crusader Kings III throughout 2025, encapsulated in Chapter IV, which focuses heavily on expanding the game's reach into Asia with new mechanics and regions to delve into.
The year kicks off with the release of the cosmetic DLC, **Crowns of the World**. This sleek pack brings six new crowns, four fresh hairstyles, and two additional beards, allowing players to customize their rulers with even more flair.
On April 28, the first major expansion, **Khans of the Steppe**, will be launched, enabling players to take the reins of the Mongols. As the Great Khan, you'll lead your nomadic horde to conquer and dominate neighboring territories, bringing a new dynamic to gameplay.
Later in the year, during Q3 (July–September), the **Coronations** DLC will introduce a novel ceremonial mechanic. Players will have the opportunity to solidify their reign through elaborate coronation events. These ceremonies will involve hosting grand festivities, making solemn vows, and charting the course for your kingdom. Additionally, new advisor and vassal events will enrich political interactions, adding layers of depth to royal succession.
The chapter will culminate with the release of **All Under Heaven**, a monumental expansion later in 2025. This update will expand the game's map to include a detailed representation of East Asia, encompassing China, Korea, Japan, and the Indonesian islands. Players will have expansive new territories to explore and conquer, offering a wealth of new strategic possibilities.
In addition to these major releases, Paradox Interactive plans to roll out patches throughout the year to refine game systems and enhance AI behavior. The developers are committed to incorporating player feedback into future updates, with the next Q&A session scheduled for March 26.
