Critical Role Delays Epic Finale Amidst California Wildfires

Due to the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles, Critical Role has postponed this week's episode of Campaign 3. The impact on the cast, crew, and community has necessitated this delay. While a return to streaming on January 16th is hoped for, further postponements remain a possibility.

Campaign 3 is nearing its thrilling conclusion, with the recent episode ending on a significant cliffhanger. The exact number of remaining episodes is unknown, but the finale is imminent. Following Campaign 3, Critical Role may launch a new campaign using their Daggerheart TTRPG system.

The January 9th stream cancellation directly resulted from the wildfires. Several cast and crew members were personally affected, including Matt Mercer and Marisha Ray, who had to evacuate, and producer Kyle Shire, who unfortunately lost his home. Others, like Dani Carr, were thankfully safe. The Critical Role community is expressing relief and support on social media.

Although a one-week delay is planned, further postponements are understandable given the ongoing situation. Fans are encouraged to be patient and offer support to those impacted by the fires.

The Critical Role Foundation, supported by community donations, is contributing $30,000 to the California Community Foundation’s Wildfire Recovery Fund. This demonstrates the shared commitment of Critical Role and its fans to the motto: "Don't forget to love each other."
