Known Habitats: Ruins of Wyveria
Breakable Parts: Head, Tail, and Legs
Recommended Elemental Attack: Water
Effective Status Effects: Poison (2x), Sleep (2x), Paralysis (3x), Blastblight (2x), Stun (2x), Exhaust (-)
Effective Items: Pitfall Trap, Shock Trap, Flash Pod

Stun the Monster

Ebony Odogaron's speed can be a real headache during your battle. To counter this, consider stunning the monster to gain some breathing room. A nearby Flashfly can be triggered to achieve this effect, or you can prepare Flash Pods to shoot at the monster, effectively immobilizing it and giving you a chance to attack.

Bring Teammates

Taking on Ebony Odogaron solo can be daunting, as you'll spend most of your time dodging its relentless attacks. To level the playing field, send out SOS signals to summon teammates. If no players respond, NPCs can serve as valuable allies, acting as a buffer between you and the monster. Use them to your advantage by dodging when targeted and letting the NPCs draw the monster's attention.

Pull Down Entangled Rocks

During your fight, you'll enter an area with Entangled Rocks overhead. Use your slinger to bring these down, stunning the boss temporarily. This tactic can only be used once per fight, but you can complement it with Pitfall and Shock Traps for two additional immobilization opportunities.

Beware of Dragonblight

Ebony Odogaron can inflict Dragonblight, which won't harm you directly but will hinder your ability to deal elemental or status effect damage. Counter this by using a Nulberry or equipping decorations with Level 3 Dragon Resistance or Blight Resistance to mitigate its effects.

Inflict Paralysis

Paralysis is a highly effective status effect against Ebony Odogaron, rendering it immobile for a short time. This can make the fight significantly easier. If the monster is knocked down over roots, it may become further entangled, giving you additional time to attack.

Aim for the Head

The head of Ebony Odogaron is its most vulnerable spot, boasting a 3-star weakness. Targeting this area can maximize your damage output, though it puts you at risk of being directly in the monster's line of sight. Alternatively, you can aim for the forelegs and tail, which may not deal as much damage but offers a chance to break these parts.
