Feral Interactive has released a major update for Company of Heroes, introducing cross-platform multiplayer functionality across Android, Nintendo Switch, and iOS devices. Players can now engage in online battles regardless of their preferred gaming platform.
Enhanced Multiplayer Experience
The update enables competitive matches with up to three other players simultaneously. Powered by Feral's proprietary Calico matchmaking service, this cross-play feature bridges the gap between mobile and Switch users, allowing seamless battlefield engagements.
This marks a significant improvement for Nintendo Switch owners - while mobile players previously enjoyed multiplayer connectivity, Switch users were excluded until now. The Company of Heroes Collection for Switch remains available through Nintendo's eShop.
A Classic RTS Reborn
Originally crafted by Relic Entertainment, Company of Heroes stands as a landmark title in real-time strategy gaming. The game distinguishes itself through compelling World War II scenarios and sophisticated squad-based tactical gameplay.
Players experience pivotal moments from the European Theater, beginning with the D-Day Normandy invasion through to the historic Falaise Pocket battles. The game offers faction choices between Allied forces (US Army and British 2nd Army) and Axis powers (German Wehrmacht and Panzer Elite).
Available Content
The base game is accessible through the Google Play Store for Android users. Two premium expansions - Opposing Fronts and Tales of Valor - unlock additional content through in-app purchases. These expansions prove essential for multiplayer engagements as they provide unified map pools and unit rosters.
With this cross-platform update enhancing accessibility, there's never been a better time to experience this acclaimed strategy title. Meanwhile, stay tuned for our upcoming coverage of Goddess of Victory: Nikke's seasonal summer update.
