Choosing Sapadal's Gift: Guide to Power in Avowed

By DanielFeb 18,2025

In Avowed, Sapadal's offer of power, much like a previous "Voice" mission, initially presents a difficult choice. However, comparing the outcomes reveals a clear winner.

Should You Accept Sapadal's Power?

For optimal godlike strength in Avowed, accepting Sapadal's offer during the "Ancient Soil" mission is strongly recommended. The resulting ability far surpasses the alternative.

Accepting Sapadal's offer grants "Thorn of Sapadal," a powerful ability described as: "Fires a thorn of energy that passes through multiple enemies, causing damage on impact and momentarily Rooting them in place." This is advantageous for both damage output and creating tactical openings for combos, such as providing time to cast spells like Fireball.

Rejecting Sapadal's Offer

Refusing Sapadal's power awards "Godlike's Will," granting an extra Ability Point. This is identical to the reward for refusing "Healing Touch" earlier. While extra Ability Points are helpful for skill progression, "Thorn of Sapadal" offers a superior, unique ability.

Only players seeking a significantly increased challenge should reject Sapadal's offer. For optimal builds and enjoyment, accepting is the superior choice.

To further enhance your character, learn how to obtain Hylea's Talon for weapon and armor upgrades. The respec option in Avowed allows for Ability Point reallocation if you wish to adjust your build.
