Pokémon Go's February Community Day: Double the Fun with Karrablast and Shelmet!
Get ready, Pokémon Go trainers! February's Community Day is bringing a double feature, focusing on Karrablast and Shelmet. The event runs from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time on February 9th, 2025.
Spotlight Pokémon: Karrablast and Shelmet
Prepare for increased wild spawns of Karrablast and Shelmet, boosting your chances of catching these Pokémon. Keep an eye out for their Shiny variants! The real excitement begins with evolution.
Evolving Karrablast during the event (or until 10:00 p.m. local time on February 16th) yields an Escavalier knowing the powerful Charged Attack, Razor Shell (35 power in Trainer Battles, 55 power in Gyms and Raids). Similarly, evolving Shelmet within the same timeframe grants you an Accelgor with the Charged Attack, Energy Ball (a hefty 90 power in all battle types).
Special and Timed Research Await
Participate in the Special Research for encounters with Karrablast and Shelmet featuring special Dual Destiny-themed backgrounds, plus a Premium Battle Pass and a Rare Candy XL. A Timed Research event follows, lasting a week after Community Day. Logging in during the main event unlocks tasks rewarding encounters with these Pokémon and their unique backgrounds.
