Originally launched on PC in February 2022, this title from Henry's House, Oscar Brittain, and Rob Gross (published by Akupara Games) has made its way to consoles and now mobile devices via Crunchyroll. The Kardboard Kings Experience:
Step into the shoes of Harry Hsu, inheriting his card-collecting father's shop and the legacy of the legendary card game, Warlock. Your business partner? Giuseppe, a quick-witted cockatoo with an uncanny ability to spot a great deal.
Located by the seaside, your shop demands you keep customers happy – or, if you're feeling daring, try a little price gouging! The game boasts charming characters, witty dialogue, and references to other card games and anime. Over 100 uniquely illustrated cards, including shiny variants, add to the visual appeal.
Gameplay Details:
The core gameplay is simple: buy low, sell high. However, as you progress, card conditions and set rarities fluctuate, impacting value alongside factors like foil finishes and card abilities.
Kardboard Kings also includes a roguelite deckbuilding mode on Card Game Island. Here, you'll face challenging duelists, host tournaments, organize booster pack parties, and even hold clearance sales to manage inventory.
