Capcom to Crack Down on Monster Hunter Wilds Cheaters Before Update 1

By BellaMay 21,2025

Excitement builds as Monster Hunter Wilds prepares to launch its first Title Update tomorrow, introducing quests designed to spur competition with rewards for fast clear times. To maintain the integrity of this competitive environment, Capcom has issued a firm warning against cheating. In a recent post on their official X/Twitter account, the developer emphasized their commitment to ensuring a fair and enjoyable experience for all players. They stated, "To ensure a fun and fair experience for our players, we will take action against accounts participating in fraudulent ranking activity, such as the use of cheating or external tools. Accounts deemed to be in breach of this may be suspended, or have restrictions placed on them, such as being unable to receive rewards from these quests."

Capcom's policy extends beyond individual cheaters; they've also cautioned that players joining multiplayer hunts with cheaters risk having their quest completion times invalidated and their "right to rewards" revoked for the entire party. The company advises players to be vigilant and avoid playing with those engaging in prohibited activities, urging them to report any fraudulent behavior they encounter during quests. This crackdown is particularly important as the new quests will offer cosmetic pendants as rewards, some of which are distributed universally, while others are contingent on completion times or rankings.

The competitive quests will be accessible through the new Arena Quest Counter in the Grand Hub in Suja, which players can unlock by completing a special tutorial mission. As Title Update 1 goes live tomorrow, be sure to head straight to the Grand Hub to participate. For more details, check out the Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 1 patch notes.
