Blue Protocol Global Release Canceled as Japan Servers Close Down

Bandai Namco's official statement cites an inability to deliver a consistently satisfying service as the reason for the closure. The global launch, partnered with Amazon Games, is consequently scrapped. The company expressed regret over the cancellation, stating their inability to meet player expectations.

Until the January 18, 2025 shutdown, Bandai Namco promises continued support through updates and new content. However, Rose Orb purchases and refunds will cease. To compensate, players will receive 5,000 Rose Orbs monthly (starting September 2024) plus 250 daily. The Season 9 pass is free, and the final update (Chapter 7) arrives December 18, 2024.

The game's Japanese launch in June 2023 initially attracted over 200,000 concurrent players. However, initial server issues and subsequent player attrition led to declining numbers and dissatisfaction.

Despite a strong initial player count, Blue Protocol failed to meet Bandai Namco's financial projections. This underperformance, previously noted in their March 31, 2024 financial report, ultimately led to the decision to end service.
