The Blood of Dawnwalker, new RPG from CD Projekt RED veterans, revealed

Rebel Wolves, a studio established by former CD Projekt RED developers, recently unveiled their debut title, The Blood of Dawnwalker, in a captivating livestream. The stream featured a four-minute cinematic trailer, serving as the game's opening narrative sequence, showcasing this dark fantasy action RPG.

Set in a 14th-century alternate Europe, The Blood of Dawnwalker follows Coen, a young man who gains supernatural powers after the events depicted in the trailer. His mission: rescue his loved ones from a vampire threat within a strict 30-day timeframe. While time progresses only during specific gameplay segments, strategic time management will be crucial.

Coen faces a critical moral choice: embrace his humanity or succumb to his vampiric nature. This decision profoundly impacts both gameplay and the narrative. A core mechanic, "Blood Hunger," adds another layer of complexity. Prolonged abstinence from blood risks a loss of control, potentially leading to accidental killings and unforeseen consequences.

Players will explore richly detailed environments, with dynamic elements influenced by the time of day. The developers describe the open world as a "narrative sandbox," offering expansive opportunities for player agency and interaction.

Developed over two years using Unreal Engine 5, The Blood of Dawnwalker is slated for release on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. A specific release date remains unannounced.
