The game unfolds within the enigmatic Library of Babel—a nod to Jorge Luis Borges's short story about a library containing every possible book. This isn't your average library; *Black Beacon*'s iteration also draws inspiration from the Tower of Babel, blending Judeo-Christian mythology with a unique, intriguing setting. Think *Evangelion*-esque vibes, but with a distinctly biblical twist.

You play as The Seer, an amnesiac thrust into a world of weighty destiny. Suddenly, you're the custodian of the Library of Babel, just as a monstrous threat emerges from its depths. Throw in some time-traveling shenanigans and a ticking clockwork star, and you've got a recipe for an epic adventure.

Gameplay

Explore the 3D world of *Black Beacon* from a top-down or free camera perspective, switching seamlessly with a pinch. Real-time combat is the name of the game, with satisfying hack-and-slash action and a clever character-switching mechanic. Swap characters mid-combo to let them regenerate stamina, making strategic team management key. Combat is skill-based, rewarding timing and awareness. While you can easily handle weaker foes, tougher opponents demand attention; failure to react to their attacks might send you flying across the arena.
