Bethesda to Unveil Oblivion Remake Tomorrow

By MilaMay 13,2025

After months of speculation and leaks, it appears that Bethesda is on the verge of officially announcing the long-awaited remake of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. The official Bethesda Twitter/X account has set the stage for an exciting reveal tomorrow at 8am PT/11am ET, which will be streamed live on both YouTube and Twitch.

Although the tweet doesn't explicitly mention what the announcement will be, the prominent "IV" and the background imagery, which closely resembles a well-known piece of Oblivion art, strongly hint at the nature of the announcement. Fans have been buzzing about an Oblivion remake for what feels like an eternity, with rumors escalating to leaks in recent times.

The journey to this point began with a leaked Bethesda release schedule in 2020, part of the FTC vs. Microsoft trial in 2023, which suggested an Oblivion remaster was on the cards for fiscal year 2022. Though the document's age and the missed release window initially cast doubt on the project's status, fresh leaks in January of this year painted a clearer picture of a full-blown remake being developed by Bethesda in collaboration with Virtuos. The latest leaks, just last week from Virtuos' own website, provided tantalizing glimpses of the remake in action, further solidifying the rumors.

Should these leaks hold true, The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Remastered is expected to launch on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation platforms. Additionally, a Deluxe Edition featuring the iconic horse armor is anticipated to be available alongside the standard version.

Be sure to tune in tomorrow for what promises to be an official confirmation of these exciting developments, along with more detailed insights into what fans can expect from this much-anticipated remake.
