After two failed launches and months of anticipation, *Rune Slayer* has finally hit the scene, and it's absolutely spectacular. Whether you're new to MMORPGs or a seasoned player, diving into *Rune Slayer* can be both thrilling and a bit overwhelming. Fear not, we've crafted a comprehensive guide to help you embark on your adventure smoothly.
Rune Slayer Beginner Tips
Here are some key insights we wish we had known from the start, to make your journey in *Rune Slayer* a breeze.
Do not randomly attack other players

When we first heard about *Rune Slayer*'s full-loot PvP system, we feared it would lead to chaotic battles. However, that's not quite the case. **When you die in *Rune Slayer*, you don't lose anything**, even in PvP scenarios. You simply respawn and continue your adventure.
But here's the catch: **if you attack other players, you'll gain a bounty**. The more players you kill, the larger your bounty becomes, and the higher your bounty, the **more items you'll drop upon death**. Essentially, the only way to engage in full-loot PvP is by initiating attacks on other players, which could lead to your eventual downfall.
Therefore, we strongly advise against attacking other players unless you have a solid reason or a group of friends to back you up during your rampage.
Craft Bags ASAP

You'll quickly realize that both your **bank space and inventory are quite limited**. With a cap of 50 items, your inventory can fill up faster than you might expect. To address this, **the game allows you to craft bags**. You can equip up to two bags simultaneously, starting with the **Cotton Bag**.
To craft a Cotton Bag, gather **Cotton from north of Wayshire and Flax from the south**. Be cautious in the south, as it's teeming with dangerous mobs. Each Cotton Bag adds an extra 10 slots to your inventory, so prioritize crafting these as soon as possible.
Your pets don’t actually die

There's a common misconception that your tamed pets die permanently when their health reaches zero. This isn't true. **When your pet "dies," it simply can't be summoned for 5 minutes**. You can check the cooldown by holding **T**. Once the cooldown is over, hold **T** again to summon your pet back into action.
Bonus Tip: To quickly **heal your pet**, store and unstore it at the stable master. You have one free slot, so make use of it.
Grab all the Quests (Yes, all of them)

*Rune Slayer* is packed with numerous quests, most of which are not repeatable and can be easily forgotten. They often follow the familiar "Kill 10 X" format seen in many MMORPGs. To manage this efficiently, **accept every quest you encounter**, including those from the Job board. Completing multiple quests simultaneously is far more efficient than tackling them one by one. You might even find yourself completing several quests at once without realizing it.
Craft everything at least once (even things you don’t need)

While it's essential to craft what you need, don't hesitate to use **spare materials** to craft items you might not immediately require. **Crafting items for the first time often unlocks new, more powerful crafting options**. For instance, smelting your first Iron Ore unlocked a range of new Iron Armor crafts for us. So, be generous with your materials and experiment with crafting.
Join a Guild
*Rune Slayer* is designed to be solo-friendly, but as you progress, you'll encounter **tougher enemies** that are best tackled in groups. Joining a guild is the easiest way to find like-minded players to take on these challenges. Use the in-game general chat or the official *Rune Slayer* Discord server to find a guild that suits you.
And that's all you need to know to get started. Enjoy your journey in *Rune Slayer*, and if you haven't already, be sure to check out the *Rune Slayer* Trello and Discord for more tips and community engagement.
