Standard Edition Users Receiving Phantom Skins

Battlefield 6's most recent technical update led to an unexpected outcome—Standard Edition users found Phantom Edition cosmetics automatically added to their inventories. Community discussions across Reddit and gaming forums confirm players received these premium items without any purchase following patch 1.0.1.6.

The issue quickly reached EA's official forums, prompting a response from community manager EA_Pulsar: "Thank you for reporting this! We're currently investigating reports of Phantom Edition items appearing unlocked. Please avoid equipping these items for now. Your patience and support are greatly appreciated."

Ironically, legitimate Phantom Edition purchasers have reported missing cosmetics due to a separate bug. Battlefield Comms addressed this on October 11 via Twitter (X), acknowledging the problem and promising updates upon resolution.

EA Help published a troubleshooting guide to help players locate missing Phantom Edition rewards. The guide instructs players to switch to the NATO faction in the Loadouts menu, as Phantom skins are faction-locked. After switching, a full system restart is recommended to refresh entitlement data. Players should also confirm they're using the correct EA account and haven't accidentally discarded the items, as these are irreplaceable.

Players still experiencing missing items are directed to EA's support page. Meanwhile, Standard Edition users who received Phantom items still retain access, as no official rollback has been implemented.

Despite these technical issues, Battlefield 6 maintains a "Very Positive" rating on Steam. Players commend its realistic combat mechanics, dynamic destruction system, and cinematic gameplay moments.

Game8's official review scored Battlefield 6 82/100, praising its refined gameplay and representing a positive evolution for the franchise. Read our full review for detailed impressions.
