Most players are familiar with the myriad romance options available in Baldur's Gate 3. However, there are several lesser-known encounters that many might miss. One such intriguing encounter is with Naoise Nallinto at Sharess' Caress. This brief yet unique romance can easily be overlooked, as it occurs during a particularly busy part of the game. In this guide, we'll show you where to find Naoise and how to romance her in Baldur's Gate 3.
Where to Find Naoise Nallinto in Baldur's Gate 3
Visit Sharess' Caress in Act III:
To meet and romance Naoise, you must first reach the early stages of Act III. As you journey towards Baldur's Gate, you'll pass through Wyrm's Crossing. On your first visit to this area, you'll need to meet Raphael at Sharess' Caress, a local brothel located along the eastern side of the bridge leading into Baldur's Gate.
If you've already explored Wyrm's Crossing, you can use the South Span of Wyrm's Crossing fast-travel point to teleport directly to the front porch of Sharess' Caress.
Look for Nymph's Grotto:
Naoise can be found in a special chamber called the Nymph's Grotto on the second floor. To access it, pass through the door to the outside area; the correct door is marked by a green light and ivy on the walls. It's locked, but a lock-picking roll of 10 or more will get you through.
How to Romance Naoise Nallinto in Baldur's Gate 3
Interact with Naoise:
Upon entering the Nymph's Grotto, approach the bed where you'll find Naoise with Jara, a Flaming Heart soldier, in an intimate moment. Jara will be displeased with your interruption, and as she speaks, a tadpole in her head will connect with yours. Jara will confront you, leading to several dialogue options. We chose:
- "Whoever you think I am, you're mistaken."
Jara mentions the Absolute and then transforms into a Mindflayer. Defeat her to proceed. After Jara's defeat, Naoise will turn her attention to you, revealing an attraction to Mindflayers. The dialogue options include:
- "Your client is dead. I thought you'd be more upset."
An Insight check will show that Naoise is in the mood for romance. Our next response was:
- "That creature aroused you, didn't it?"
Avoiding more judgmental responses, Naoise will express interest in another 'flavor'. The following choices lead to the romance scene:
- "What did you have in mind?"
- "Close your eyes and listen"
This encounter happens entirely in your mind. Naoise will ask you to choose 'what you will be', offering:
- Revered
- Contented
- Powerful
- Rich
- I think we're done here.
We chose 'contented', leading to a brief romance scene. Once finished, Naoise will lose interest in you. If you return, she'll mention that she can offer 'rapture' only once. Our character was in a relationship with Karlach during this encounter, who surprisingly didn't mind it. This is likely the case with other romanceable characters.
Shadowheart will grant you the 'Carnal Rituals of Sharess' inspiration point after the encounter.
After successfully romancing Naoise, you'll receive the Rapture boon, providing a passive 1d6 bonus to almost all types of ability checks.
