Best Armor Sets in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 (KCD2)

By BellaMar 18,2025

Armor in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* operates differently than in many other games. Forget about set bonuses; equipping a full set isn't always the optimal strategy. However, several armor sets stand out as particularly useful, depending on your needs.

Best Armor Sets in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Unlike typical RPGs, *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* doesn't reward you for wearing complete armor sets. You won't receive stat boosts for equipping multiple pieces from the same set. Armor pieces are typically found in specific locations or on particular enemies, leading to set names often reflecting their origin (with Twitch drops and pre-order sets being exceptions).

Best Armor Sets for Protection

Praguer Guard Armor

The Praguer Guard Armor isn't about raw stats; its value lies in simplifying a late-game quest. Wearing this armor during "Reckoning" (the quest involving Sam) allows you to freely move through the guard camp without being challenged or attacked, eliminating the need for stealth.

It also provides substantial protection: 269 stab, 312 slash, and 146 blunt resistance (depending on quality).

Cuman Armor

Acquired from Cumans in the Kuttenberg region (during the "Bellatores" side quest, for example), this armor excels in combat. Its high noise and conspicuousness make it unsuitable for stealth, but its strong slash and blunt resistance make it ideal for unavoidable fights.

Expect around 149 stab, 181 slash, and 65 blunt resistance (depending on quality).

Milanese Cuirass Armor

Purchased from merchants in Kuttenberg, the Milanese Cuirass Armor offers solid defense. While not cheap, its robust protection is a worthwhile investment. However, remember its weight when managing multiple armor sets.

Defense stats range around 392 stab, 286 slash, and 100 blunt resistance (depending on quality).

Vavak Soldier Armor

Looted from Vavak's soldiers during a confrontation with the Ruthards, this set offers surprisingly good stab and slash protection, even if the chest piece is less impressive. Consider taking individual pieces, like the helmet and gloves, for specific combat situations.

Expect around 352 stab, 264 slash, and 99 blunt resistance (depending on quality).

Brunswick Armor

A pre-order bonus, the Brunswick Armor is obtained by completing the "Lion's Crest" side quest. Its early availability makes it invaluable for navigating early-game challenges before skill levels and perks improve.

A full set provides 704 stab, 567 slash, and 239 blunt resistance.

Best Armor for Stealth

Cutpurse Armor

Available through Twitch drops (availability may vary), the Cutpurse Armor is a top choice for stealth. Its low profile makes it ideal for avoiding conflict.

A full set provides 24 stab, 53 slash, and 54 blunt resistance.

Overall Best Armor

The "best" armor is often a combination of pieces tailored to your build, rather than a complete set. While a full set might look good in cutscenes, it doesn't guarantee superior combat performance or stealth capabilities. Prioritize stats that match your playstyle and combat proficiency. Even basic armor can suffice if your combat skills are strong.
